Details are emerging for the future Audi A7, a four-door “coupe”, which is a direct competitor of the popular Mercedes-Benz CLS and BMW’s upcoming entry, the Gran Turismo. A7 could appear as soon as next year when the 2010 model, built according to the architecture of the Audi A5 (which also serves as the basis for the A6).

A7 is valid, a four-door coupe version of the next A6. At the top of the composition of a 600-horsepower, twin-turbo V-10 version might be dubbed the RS 7 Buzz is that a convertible is added to the beginning of 2011.

The four-door coupe craze that began with the CLS in 2004, more and more with other planned lines, including the Porsche Panamera, Volkswagen Passat CC, and Aston Martin Rapide.

Spy shots of the A7 sedan to come into low roofline Audi remains on the surface. A7 is likely to be based on the architecture of next-generation A6, which itself has been expanded and modified version of the current A4/A5 platform. Judging from the name, A7 four-seater to be built in the line above and below the Audi A6 and A8 is likely to occupy a $ 50,000-to-$ 70,000 price range. Granular new snaps seen here clearly show the A7 bulbous back that hides a hatchback configuration, the body, reminiscent of the recent discovery, and the beautiful, the Porsche Panamera.

In the U.S., we expect to be fed based A7S A6 recently introduced 300-hp, 3.0-liter supercharged V-6, V-8 engines are almost a certainty, but do not yet know if the V-8 is the direct injection A6 350 hp, 4.2-liter V-8 or the R8′s 420 horsepower, 4.2-liter V-8. Transmission choices will be six-speed manual or automatic dual-clutch seven-speed automatic, eight-speed automatic, which will probably be reserved for the V-8 model.

When you start the regular class models, athletic and powerful debut S7, S6 powered by the 5.2-liter V-10 with the top 435 hp under the hood. RS7 is a very strong possibility, though, as the RS6 sedan and station wagon, it might be too expensive and too niche-y North American market.

Audi usually shows subtle concept version of the show before the final production car, and we look forward to such a concept A7 Auto Show debut in early 2009, and the production version may look or Geneva Motor Show Frankfurt.
