2012 Peugeot 308 hatch sports a new look and new equipment for 2012. The powertrain line-up has also been tweaked for more efficiency, but it’s the cosmetics that have come in for most attention. The Aesthetic and mechanical improvements are featured by this facelift version underlined by a series of photos and some details such as Led headlights, and e-HDi technology. The front bumper has been re-styled and now carries LED daytime running lamps of Peugeot. The tailgate also gets some extra silver trim accents, and there are new alloy wheels across the range.
2012 Peugeot 308 is important the debut of the 1.6 e-HDi FAP 112 hp, Euro 5 as all other engines and equipped with automatic start/stop which allows emissions within 98 g/km of CO2. This version is particularly efficient thanks to many improvments, including the use of tires with low rolling resistance, interventions to reduce weight and better aerodynamic. The Peugeot 308 1.6 e-HDi will be also available with manual or automatic robot transmission, both 6-speeds. Among diesels are also the 1.6 e-HDi 92 and 112 hp, a 2-liter 150 hp and 163 hp. The petrol versions include the 1.4 VTi of 98 hp, the 1.6 VTi 120 hp, both with 5-speed gearbox, 1.6 THP 156 hp and 1.6 THP 200 hp (not wagon) with 6-speed transmission.
All of the 7 passengers that can be seated in the 2012 Peugeot 308 SW thanks to the optional additional 2 rear seats can benefit from these fitted spaces. They can also modulate and adjust the car’s interior as necessary by opting for individual seats in row 2. Nor has the boot volume been ignored, with a capacity under the parcel shelf of 674 litres for the SW and 430 litres for the saloon. With the load potential exploited to the full, the capacities are 2149 and 1398 litres respectively.
The New 2012 Peugeot 308 is being launched onto the UK market integrating all the latest Peugeot styling elements already seen on the Peugeot 508 and the SR1 Concept Car. The new Peugeot 308 will be available in threebody styles; Hatchback, CC and SW, and four multi-model trim levels; Access, SR, Active and Allure. A range topping hatchback and CC THP 200 model will also be available in a single GT trim level. The New Peugeot 308 will be launched at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and go on sale in the UK in May. The new range will start from £15,245 on-the-road with an improved standard specification to the current model.
