Auto Expo In New Delhi – Hyundai Motor Company has just held the world premiere of its newest concept, a multi-purpose vehicle called “2012 Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept”. The new concept revolutionizes the use of interior space, another example of Hyundai’s “New Thinking and New Possibilities.” Codenamed HND-7, the 2012 Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept attempts to re-invent the use of interior space by incorporating eight hexagonally shaped seats that fit together like puzzle pieces. 2012 Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept is targeted at young urban families in their 30s and 40s.
These customers need their vehicles to serve many roles and Hexa Space satisfies those needs with its unique seat design. The 2012 Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept is based on Hyundai’s compact ix20 and is powered by a 1.2L turbocharged GDI engine with a six-speed transmission.
Hyundai also showed off a ton of new technology features in the interior with a touchscreen center console, push-button shifter and a cluster ionizer air purifier. Based on the platform from the compact Hyundai ix20, the Hyundai Hexa Space is 4,300 mm long, 1,820 mm wide and 1,647 mm high, giving it substantial headroom. The wheelbase is 2,750 mm and runs on 19-inch wheels. And this car is almost like the 2011 Hyundai ix35, the difference is Hyundai ix35 compact SUV and while 2012 Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept is a concept multipurpose vehicle (MPV).
The 2012 Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept of center seat in each row can be folded completely flat while the second row can also fold flat to create a limousine-like seating. For additional cargo space, the back row can also fold flat. Those looking to only travel with two, can fold all eight seats for camping or just seven for heavy loading.
