Jerry Seinfeld and the Acura NSX concept getting ready to revisit this summer with his main sponsors.
Popular web series created by and starring Jerry Seinfeld. combine the last efforts called “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” a web series about, well, the comedian in the car to get a coffee, had a successful first season. And now it’s getting ready to go back this summer, this time with a major sponsor behind it. This event proved to be a hit, with the 10-episode first season drawing about 10 million unique viewers. A second season since it was announced and will begin this summer, but this time there are sponsorship dollars in hand.
They first started working together on super Bowl ad of 2012 Acura, and now Japan-American car maker sponsoring a web event Jerry. Based on that agreement, Seinfeld, who starred in the year Acura 2012 Super Bowl commercial will introduce the events all-new Acura MDX. They have made a commitment to 24 new episodes to be released in 2013 and 2014. As the sole sponsor of the program, Acura will integrate short, relevant contextual ads at the beginning and end of each episode.
“We at Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee are so glad a company we already admire has stepped forward to support us,“. “Not everyone understood what we were doing. But like Moe Green who invented Las Vegas, Acura is a company of vision and guts. We could not be more thrilled to have them as our sponsor. Because of them, we advance!” said Jerry Seinfeld.
As for the cars that are significant enough to require a massive promotional campaign for Jerry Seinfeld, and it seems, will play a major role in it. The range of Acura this time certainly not a work of the good from that attitude. But perhaps with the arrival of the Acura NSX Concept over the next two years things took a sharp turn. In any case, we’re chuffed that Seinfeld is back with new material.
Since its debut in July 2012, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” second season began this summer and will feature a conversation with a superb Seinfeld comedy like David Letterman, Sarah Silverman, Chris Rock and Don Rickles.
